Foundation Learning: Level 1

Foundation Learning encompasses all Entry level and Level 1 qualifications and offers students a personalised programme of learning incorporating various vocational subjects alongside personal and social development units and functional skills.

Level 1 Courses

Level 1 learning covers a range of programmes aimed at students not yet ready to begin a level 2 course. The courses are tailored to your individual needs. For these courses you don’t need any entry qualifications.

Level 2 Courses

For courses at this level, you will normally need to have achieved at least five GCSE at grade E. If you want to gain Level 2 qualifications in order to go into work or training, or on to further courses it is very important to have the vital qualifications of English, Maths and IT.

Level 3 AS & A Levels

For courses at this level you will need to have achieved at least five GCSEs at grades A* to C or a majority of GCSEs at A*-B if you are intending to follow our Sixth Form Academy programme.
