The Learning Centre also accommodates the Careers & Higher Education Department where you will find up-to-date information on various jobs, training opportunities and university courses in our well-stocked Careers Library. Our own college Careers Manager and her team are always available with help and guidance to ensure that you make the right decisions about your future.
There is no shortage of help in getting where you want to go when you leave college, whether this is university or employment and training. There are excellent resources for researching your future options in the Careers Centre and one-to-one careers advice and guidance interviews with either the college’s Careers Manager or our own Connexions PA are easy to book at any stage of your time at the college.
A University, Careers and Gap Year Fair is held in September with over 80 representatives attending and in the spring term, an Employment & Training Fair takes place to coincide with our ‘Employability Week.’ Information Evenings about university choices, applications and student finance take place regularly, with guest speakers from a variety of universities often contributing to these important events.
A comprehensive Careers Education and Guidance Programme is delivered through the Tutorial Programme to all students.
