The Website of St Vincent College has been created to be as accessible as possible for all users. We have complied with international industry standards allowing anyone to easily customise the look of the website to suit their own needs and preferences.

Browser settings

Find out how to change basic appearance settings in some common browsers below.


INTERNET EXPOLORER

Change colour and font settings in IE
1. From the Tools menu, choose Internet Options

2. Select the Accessibility… button (bottom right)

3. By checking the desired checkboxes, you can force the browser to ignore the colours, font styles and font sizes

After forcing browser to ignore font sizes you can change font sizes in IE
◾ From the View menu, choose the Text size option

Disable images in IE
1. From the Tools menu, choose Internet Options

2. Select the Advanced tab (top right)

3. Scroll down to the Multimedia section

4. Untick the checkbox labelled Show pictures


MOZILLA FIREFOX

Change font sizes in Firefox
◾ From the View menu, choose the Zoom option

Disable images in Firefox
1. When using Mac OSX: With Firefox in focus, select the Firefox menu, followed by Preferences

2. When using Windows or other platforms: From the Tools menu, choose Options

3. Select the Content tab

4. Untick the checkbox labelled Load images automatically


OPERA

Change font sizes in Opera
◾ From the Page menu, choose the Zoom option

Disable styles in Opera
◾ From the Page menu, choose the Style option, select Accessibility Layout

Disable images in Opera
◾ From the Page menu, choose the Image option, select No Images


SAFARI

Change font sizes in Safari
1. From page menu icon (Safari), choose Zoom

2. Click on Zoom Text Only then go to page menu icon (Safari), choose ZooZoom In (Ctrl++)

Change font style in Safari
◾ Go to page menu icon (Safari), select Preferences, choose Appearance or Advanced

GOOGLE CHROME

Change font size in Chrome
◾ From settings icon (Chrome), choose Options (Preferences), Under the Hood select Font Size

Change font style in Chrome
◾ From settings icon (Chrome), choose Options (Preferences), Under the Hood, select Customise Fonts

Disable images in Chrome
◾ From settings icon (Chrome), choose Options (Preferences), Under the Hood, choose Customise Fonts, select settings…, select ‘Do not show any images’

PDF Files

Most downloads on the College web pages are in the Adobe Acrobat PDF format. All PDF files require the user to have the free-to-use Acrobat reader software installed. It’s available for download here. Alternatively if your browser does not support this technology you can convert any PDF file in to text or html here.
