A 12‐week programme introducing the practice of traditional Hatha Yoga The classes are suitable for everyone, including beginners, those with mild pack pain or minor injuries. They will cover a variety of postures to stretch and strengthen the entire body, while focusing on breathing and balance.
What is the course about?
Hatha Yoga is a gentle calming practice designed to improve flexibility, relieve aches or pains and improve mindfulness. Each class will involve a sun-salutation warm up, followed by a gentle sequence focusing on new postures each week, finishing with peaceful guided meditation and breathing exercises.
Throughout the classes, there will be options to make postures easier or more advanced and each student will be fully assisted in their practise by the teacher. No prior experience is necessary, both new and experienced students are welcome.
Do I need specific equipment or clothes?
Students should wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga or non-slip mat and, if you choose, a drink.
How will my progress be recorded?
Your tutor will work with you to assist in the completion of a Learner Progress Sheet, which will record your progress and will be reviewed and updated within the duration of the course.
