Are you creative? Do you enjoy painting?

What is the course about (aims)

During this course you will learn how to use watercolour painting techniques such as background washes, paint mixing and colour palette work.

Students will learn to blend colours to create tone and contrast to paintings whilst learning how to use the right brushes and other equipment. Students will also learn how to paint through perspective and observation using still life props such as nature, figures and landscapes.

Some basic drawing skills will be involved in working on the basis of your masterpieces to take home, frame and enjoy!

Do I need specific equipment or clothes?

If you would like to bring your own watercolour paints, brushes and/or paper, you are welcome to do so. However, the college will provide these items for you to use throughout the duration of the course.
Please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting messy.

Will there be additional costs?

The tutor will suggest optional materials you may like to purchase throughout the course.

How will my progress be recorded?

Your tutor will work with you to assist in the completion of a Learner Progress Sheet. It will be used to record your progress and it will be reviewed and updated within the duration of the course.
