The Ritz Cinema presents: “HUGO”

12 year old Hugo Cabret lives in Paris with his father who works as a watchmaker and also works in a museum where they find, and attempt to repair, a mechanical man. After his father is killed in a fire, Hugo is forced to live with his uncle and help maintain the clocks in Montpanasse station, where he comes into contact with a mysterious shop owner who may hold the key to the robot man. This visually stunning film is being presented in association with Gosport Steampunk Society who will be hosting a range of activities for children. Screening as part of ‘I Love Gosport’ month.

Doors at 10am, film starts at 10.30am.

These are the important dates to remember when planning your future at college.

Open Evenings at colleges in the area. St Vincent Early Autumn Open Evening – Tuesday 10th October (5.30pm – 8.30pm)


St Vincent Late Autumn Open Evening – 15th November (5.30pm – 8.30pm). If you haven’t done so already, you should now make your application to college.

An application form is included in this prospectus or you can do so online. You will be invited for interview. This is not a selection interview – we will help you put together a programme that is right for you. Even if you are not sure whether you want to go to college, apply anyway. The interview process is good experience.

May 2018

St Vincent Summer Open Evening – 3rd May (5.30 – 8.00 pm). If you haven’t applied yet, don’t panic! There is still plenty of time.

JULY 2018

Introduction Day: If you have applied you will receive a letter inviting you to attend this day of ‘taster’ sessions. They are another chance to confirm your choices.


August 2018 GCSE Results. If your results were not what you expected, you can phone us or come in to discuss your worries. Whatever happens we will be able to help you to get on the right course for you.


College Enrolment begins.You will meet your fellow students and get started on your career at college. It is important you make a smooth start so please ensure that you are back from your holidays by then.
