    The College is looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Finance Manager for its base in Gosport. This is an exciting time for the College as it becomes part of a Multi Academy Trust Group, with another base in Southampton.
    This post will be primarily based in Gosport, although the successful candidate may have to do a small amount of travelling.

    Managing a team of 2, you will take responsibility for managing the day to day routines in the Finance Office, producing the monthly management accounts and drafting a commentary for the Board and working alongside the Trusts finance staff to produce its Statutory Accounts.

    This post would suit someone who has good experience to date with all/most aspects of a finance department and who is keen to progress their career further.

    An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced payroll officer to join our college and lead our payroll processes.

    Following the pending retirement of the current post holder, we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual with a high level of knowledge and understanding of payroll systems and processes to lead this key aspect of our business operations.

    As a highly successful Sixth Form College, we employ over 300 staff and you will join our busy and vibrant learning environment at our beautiful waterside campus based in the heart of Gosport.

    Prior experience of working in a payroll position is essential and relevant qualifications are desirable. This role also has the potential to develop in line with the proposed academisation of our College which is due to take place later this year.

    Due to the success of our Grade 1 (Outstanding) Sports and Public Services department we are seeking to employ a dynamic and vibrant individual to this exciting new position. The role will see you support our highly experience curriculum team with the delivery and development of our sports and OAA activities.

    The key duties of this role will be to support the operational running of the Sports and Public Services curriculum including:

    • delivering enrichment activities
    • supporting delivery of promotion and liaison activities at the college
    • facilitating bookings of leisure resources
    • undertaking a range of duties to support the college sports teams

    Candidates must have sports coaching and delivery experience and be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively engage and support students in a Post-16 education environment. This role will considered alongside applications for coaching roles available at the College, which are currently advertised.

    Prior experience of coaching or delivery of activities to young people is essential. This role is initially a temporary contract until mid-July 2018 but may be extended should the role prove successful.

    The role will see the successful candidate mentor, lead and organise the delivery of the Women’s Football Academy in addition to developing the technical skills of our players.

    Holding a relevant football coaching qualification(s) is desirable. Prior experience of coaching football to young people is essential. Learning Support Assistant

Hours of work: 25 – 35 hours per week

    The St Vincent College Learning Support Unit (LSU) provides education for students aged 16 to 25 years who have a variety of medical, communication, physical and learning difficulties, ranging from moderate to severe / profound.

    We offer quality education in a caring atmosphere and require enthusiastic and experienced staff that can support and facilitate learning, supervise and provide personal care for students.
    As well as needing great communication skills and the ability to use your initiative, you will also require a great sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a team.

    Our Learning Support Assistants work in close partnership with class teachers to promote learning for all students. Some experience of working on intervention programmes with individuals and small groups of students would be of benefit.

    We are looking for someone who has the following attributes:

    • Able to work both as a member of a team and independently
    • Able to demonstrate a commitment to enabling students to do their best
    • Understand confidentiality and safeguarding
    • Professionalism and excellent time management skills
    • Excellent English and Maths skills

Adult Education Tutors

Hours of work: Classes vary in length from 2 – 3 hours per week and usually run between 4 – 30 weeks.

Hourly Rate: Community and Level 2 accredited courses: £22.73 per hour
Level 3 accredited courses: £30.95 per hour
(To include planning, delivering and assessment where relevant)

    Adult Education Tutors required to deliver a range of community learning classes and accredited qualifications, including English and Maths Functional Skills.

    Classes run term-time throughout the week, daytime and evenings from our main college site in Mill Lane and daytime at community venues across Gosport, including the Nimrod Centre in Rowner.

    Applicants should have a minimum of Level 3 Award in Education and Training for community classes, or a full teaching qualification and at least Level 3/4 in their specialist subject for accredited courses. Ideally, applicants should also have experience of delivering classes to adult learners.

    Qualified Assessors required for a range of qualifications including Business Administration, Early Years Educator (EYE), Health & Social Care, Hairdressing, Supporting Teaching & Learning, and TAQA

    Assessors must have experience of assessment and delivery, and preferably have achieved one of the qualifications in the area(s) they will be assessing (NVQ or Diploma). Evidence of assessment and delivery of NVQs/QCF certificates/diplomas is essential, and this, together with qualifications held, current practice, occupational competence and up to date CPD will be requested at interview.

    Essential requirements:

    – D32/33 or A1/TAQA L3 Qualification (Assessor Qualification)
    – Occupational expertise relevant to the units they would be assessing
    – Occupational competence – be able to carry out the full requirements within the competency units being assessed
    – Occupational knowledge for areas in which they are assessing
    – Experience in training and assessment
    – Evidence of maintaining their own occupational competence and knowledge in continuing learning and professional development
