Bonjour!

What is the course about?

Would you like to be able to speak French? Do you love French culture and would like to learn more about it? This course is for both beginners and those who have some basic French, but who would like to refresh their skills and have the opportunity to practise their French and enjoy group activities. You will be encouraged to take part, have fun and learn together!

Do I need specific equipment?

There will be some writing, so do come prepared with pen and paper and a folder for handouts and homework tasks.

How will I learn?

The teacher will supply the course material with printed sheets. There will be class discussions and role plays in order to “try out” newly acquired French. Games will also be played.

Will there be homework?

Yes, there will be between 30 mins to an hour of homework per week.

Will there be additional costs?

No, however, students are advised to buy a French-English dictionary. You will also be advised on useful phrase books and guides, and will be able to borrow copies during the course, or you may prefer to buy your own copies to take on your visit to France!

How will my progress be recorded?

Your tutor will work with you to assist in the completion of an Individual Learning Plan. This is a flexible working document agreed between the learner and the tutor. It will be used to record your progress and it will be reviewed and updated within the duration of the course.
