What is the course about?
This course introduces learners to basic skills, creation of an effective environment, and identification of their own motivation, values and beliefs.
This course is suitable for teachers, nurses, health and education support staff, job seekers, and anyone wishing to improve their interpersonal skills or learn about the basics of the counselling role.
Learners will be assessed through tutor and peer observation, and completion of written reflective learning journals. This course provides an excellent foundation for those wishing to progress to a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills.
It is advisable for learners to have a level 2 or functional skills in English for this course.
