Introducion to Forensics

Who is this course for?

This course is for those interested in the basic aspects of Forensics.

What will I achieve?

Forensic Science involves the collection and presentation of scientific evidence to promote justice in the courts of law and it is an indispensable part of criminal investigation.

During the course we will look at:

  • Crime scene investigation including fingerprints, DNA, fibres and liquids

  • Methods in how evidence is tested and treated

  • How this evidence solve crime?

  • Eyewitness testimony

  • Crime scene investigation

  • Offender profiling

Please note this course may deal with some sensitive material, which some students may find disturbing.

How will my progress be recorded?

Your tutor will work with you to complete a Learner Progress Form, this form will record your progress throughout the duration of the course.
