St Vincent currently offers a Foundation Degree in Early Years Care and Education, a Foundation Degree in Learning Support, a part-time PGCE/Cert Ed course and Access to Higher Education Diplomas.

Access to

Higher Education

Specifically aimed at students over 19, the Access to HE Diploma offers a recognised entry qualification to higher education. You can study the course full time over a year if you have GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above, or for some university courses Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths are accepted.

This is an exciting and dynamic course that provides the opportunity to gain a Foundation Degree whilst working. The Foundation Degree focuses on the development of competent, skilled senior practitioners in early years care and education. Following successful completion of your studies, you will be able to work as a senior practitioner in a variety of settings, supporting and caring for children 0-8 years.

Would you like to develop your knowledge and critical understanding of your education support role? If you have at least a year’s experience in a learning support context, paid or voluntary, and the ability to study at this level you could work towards a nationally recognised qualification in your field.
