MULTI-TRADES CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMME

LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE IN CONSTRUCTION

Course Description:

As part of this exciting new programme you will enjoy learning both the theory and practical skills required to provide you with an extensive range of skills that will prepare you for your career in the construction industry. You will train in fully-equipped workshops, using the same machinery and tools you can expect to use in the workplace. This course is perfect for students who are unsure which trade they would like to go into.

CARPENTRY (SITE)

LEVEL 2

Course Description:

You will learn all aspects of site carpentry, including building methods, first fixing, second fixing, structural carcassing and maintenance. You will also cover aspects of health and safety issues and how to maintain good working relationships, both with colleagues and customers. You will be trained by an experienced tradesperson in our purpose-designed Construction Centre. 

 

You will be taught in a well-equipped workshop with all the up-to-date resources associated with this type of course. You will have the opportunity to use this equipment to develop your skills in carpentry and joinery. You will be closely tutored in all aspects of the course. No-one is expected to struggle alone, though you will be expected to work effectively as an individual. Group work is also actively encouraged to allow you to benefit from the exchange of ideas and practices. Safety is a prime objective and you will be expected to provide suitable safety footwear.

CARPENTRY (SITE)

LEVEL 3

Course Description:

The Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry qualification has been developed for achievement in a training environment which means you do not need to be employed to undertake this qualification.  

 

This qualification enables you, the learner, to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding so you can work as a Site Carpenter within the construction industry.
