This course covers a broad range of art and design techniques and subject specialisms.
You will learn the basics in photography, graphics and fine art before eventually specialising in your chosen area of interest. You will be challenged to respond to creative sources and a variety of themes throughout the year.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Five GCSEs at grade 2 or above.
If you have not yet gained grade 4 in English and or Maths, this will form part of your programme.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
The course is heavily practical and encourages you to give everything a go as you learn techniques that include printmaking, digital media including use of adobe photoshop and illustrator
and drawing workshops.
PROGRESSION ROUTES:
Level 3 fine art, graphic design, photography and/or film and digital arts.
