Combined Science

This course involves a range of exciting subjects, from atoms to cells, behaviour and transport in the body to systems in animals and plants and how these systems interact.

We will study biology, chemistry and physics in this course and take part in over 20 required practical sessions, with a range of practical science included. This course will develop your skillset for problem solving and your laboratory skills.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Five GCSEs at Grade 2 or above. If you have not yet gained Grade 4 in English and/or Maths, this will form part
of your programme.

WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:

In this course, you will learn about chemistry, from atomic structure to rates of chemical reactions. You will also experience learning about biology in-depth, from cell-structure to disease and treatments. You will explore physics through a series of practical sessions and will gain knowledge about energy, forces and many other areas. This is an opportunity to develop your organisation, communication and problem-solving skills, whilst also expanding your laboratory skillset.
