This course is led by an experienced tradesperson in our purpose-built construction centre.
Students will use all the up-to-date resources while developing skills in carpentry and joinery. Safety is a prime objective and students will be expected to provide their own suitable safety footwear.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
No minimum entry requirements needed.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
All aspects of site carpentry, including building methods, first fixing, second fixing, structural carcassing and maintenance, as well as aspects of health and safety issues and how to maintain good working relationships, both with colleagues and customers.
PROGRESSION ROUTES:
Level 2 Carpentry, apprenticeships or employment.
