Course Summary
Crime and Society is made up of 2 separate courses, firstly an Ascentis Certificate in Social Science and Humanities, and secondly a BTEC in Law and Legal Studies.
Both courses are assessed internally.
Key Topics
There will be a distinct focus on Sociology and Psychology within the Social Sciences course and there will be an element of Criminology throughout both courses.
Assessment
Evidence for each unit is through building up a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate that all the assessment criteria within the unit have been achieved.

There will be the chance to take part in:

Progression
Further College Study: Level 3 courses in Law, Sociology, Psychology and Criminology.
Entry Requirements
At least four GCSEs at grade 3 or above.
