This qualification offers the chance to develop practical and theoretical knowledge and use industry standard software to create original films.
Students will learn how to approach theories and imagery in a critical and analytical way and write fluently about film and media.
This will enable students to discuss and share ideas confidently and use digital technology to present their findings in a professional way. They will also learn how to produce short films.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above. Ideally some experience of creative subjects.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
Understanding of how moving images relate to the time and place in which they were made, critical analysis and film production.
PROGRESSION ROUTES:
Further study or employment in the TV and film industry, advertising, marketing or publishing.
