Carpentry – An Introduction

Home > Carpentry – An Introduction

WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR?

The introduction to carpentry course provides an opportunity to increase your skills. These skills can be used for your own personal use, for example, you might be interested in carpentry for yourself for around the house, or to help you meet new people, or to simply find a new hobby or interest. You may wish to use your skills to support you into work or to enable you to gain a qualification.

This course is an introduction to Carpentry and could provide progression to the NVQ Carpentry Programmes available. Working in Carpentry could be something you aim to progress to. Carpenters are essential in areas such as restoration and building new housing, and work could take place on a variety of sites. Carpenters work on construction sites to build wooden fixtures and fittings such as floorboards, window frames, roof structures, and staircases, etc.

If you have no plans for progression for work or qualifications, this is a fun way to learn new skills.
