This course is an excellent introduction to studying law.
Students will gain a foundation level knowledge of both the civil and criminal courts and study serious offences while learning what is necessary to prosecute those offences – as well as the defences available.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Five GCSEs at grade 2 or above.
If you have not yet gained grade 4 in English and/or Maths, this will form part of your programme.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
English legal system, police powers, homicide, investigating a career, non-fatal offences, general defences.
PROGRESSION ROUTES:
Level 3 Applied Law, Level 3 Criminology, Level 3 Sociology, Level 3 Psychology.
