Music Programme

An ideal course for students to develop their musical and technical skills through self-evaluation, practice and review.

It is a combination course for performance and production, with additional units focused on students’ career pathway choices, which can include performance, composition, studio recording and event management as well as formal graded examinations. It is designed for students who want a career in the music industry or to study at university. While studying performers will have the opportunity to play at venues, festivals, recording studios and radio stations.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Five GCSEs at grades 4 to 9. An ability to read music at a basic level would be an advantage.

WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:

How to record live instruments, producing original music through professional sequencing techniques and audio mixing and mastering. Students will learn about recording equipment and musical instruments, live sound techniques and working in the music industry.
