This qualification is aimed at students who love communicating in a visual and creative way and will develop confidence with film and digital photography.
Experimentation is encouraged through practical lessons and gallery visits. Previous knowledge of photography is not essential, nor is owning your own camera, just a passion for making your own images.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above, ideally including grade 4 in a creative subject. A suitable portfolio of artwork may be accepted as an alternative.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
Coursework portfolio development, personal investigation – related study, film and digital photography.
PROGRESSION ROUTES:
Further study or employment in visual arts, photography, marketing or journalism.
