Skills for Construction

This qualification provides learners with a range of plastering skills and knowledge.

Learners will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements for working in the industry.

Learners will be taught and challenged in a bespoke plastering workshop designed to mimic a domestic plastering environment, enabling us to develop skills and confidence necessary to obtain a plastering job role in the construction industry.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

No minimum entry requirements. If you have not yet gained a grade 4 in English and Maths or a Level 2 in Functional Skills, this will form a mandatory part of your programme.

WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:

Students complete a number of assessments alongside coursework including preparing surfaces in readiness for plastering, carrying out plastering activities in accordance with instructions and ensuring work is completed
as required.

PROGRESSION ROUTES:

Apprenticeship or further study at Level 2.
