Course Summary
Throughout this course, students explore key concepts in paediatric health, including the identification, prevention, and management of common childhood illnesses. This certificate equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the well-being of children in various settings. By fostering an informed approach to childhood health, students are empowered to make a positive difference in safeguarding the health and vitality of young individuals under their care.
This is a 4 month course and will be delivered online. This course is free subject to meeting eligibility criteria such as being aged 19 years or older.

The purpose of this qualification is to increase learners’ knowledge and understanding of common childhood illnesses to enable them to support the development and wellbeing of infants and children they support/care for.
Assessment
Students enrolled onto this course will be allocated an Assessor/Tutor. All units will be individually internally assessed using a range of assessment methods. Assessment will be Internally Quality Assured (IQA) and Externally Quality Assured (EQA) by the Awarding Organisation.
The different types/methods of assessment will be discussed between student and Assessor/Tutor.

You can progress onto another adult education course.
Entry Requirements
While there are no strict entry requirements for this qualification, students will need to complete initial and diagnostic assessments in English and maths to determine the level of the course.
