The need for education and training across sectors to enable identification of abuse, allocation of support and referral is a recurring theme within regional domestic abuse strategies. Awareness of domestic abuse and its impact is important for those working in a wide range of sectors such as healthcare, social care, childcare, education, and housing. There is a need to understand the issues, report on those who may be at risk and support signposting to relevant services.
WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR?
This qualification is designed for learners who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse and its impact. This is a knowledge only qualification. Experience in the real work environment is not required.
