Available at level 3, 2 and 1

Course Description

As part of this exciting new programme you will enjoy learning both the theory and practical skills required to provide you with an extensive range of skills that will prepare you for your career in the construction industry.

You will train in fully-equipped workshops, using the same machinery and tools you can expect to use in the workplace.

This course is perfect for students who are unsure which trade they would like to go into.

You will study a range of units with topics including: Health & Safety in construction,
Plastering, Painting and decorating, including Wall Papering and finally Carpentry skills.

These units will help you form a wide range of skills in demand with local employers to improve your chances of gaining employment within the industry.

You will complete written and practical work throughout the year. You will also complete English and Maths qualifications.

One year

You will gain a wider range of skills suitable for the Construction Industry.

Purposeful work experience, Community projects, Enterprise opportunities.

On completion you would be eligible to continue onto Level 2 programmes such as Construction or Carpentry.

No minimum entry requirements, if you have not achieved a Level 4 and above for Maths and English this will be a mandatory requirement of the course.

Practical Assessment & a portfolio of evidence.
