This course will aid you in understanding the society around us – past and present, good and bad. What drives someone to crime and how society deals with them when they get there as well as deviancy and prejudice and the impact that has upon those around us.
You will also study the media including social networking and how it influences the way we think and the decisions we make. You will then have the opportunity to take a subject of your choice and develop your own study around this.
You will be given an insight in to what drives someone to crime. Is it there upbringing or is it there biology? Do they have a choice? You will also be learning about what happens to them once they are caught including sentencing and punishment.
