SPORTS LEADERSHIP
LEVEL 2
Students will develop leadership skills, planning, delivering and evaluating sport/physical activity sessions and events.
This course will help learners build leadership skills, plan, lead and evaluate sport/physical activity sessions, assist in planning and leading a sports/physical activity event, and lead sport/physical activity sessions communities.
Course duration:
One year.
Entry requirements:
Five GCSEs grade 2-3. Interest and passion for sport, working with children and developing skills in sports/activity leadership.
Assessment:
Coursework/portfolio of evidence supported by practical activity and event leading that is observed and assessed internally.
Enrichment opportunities:
Students will be involved in different events and activities that may take place both on, and away from, the college site.
Possible combinations:
Sports and Uniformed Protective Services.
Potential career paths:
Sports coaching, PE teaching, event management, health and fitness instructing.
