St Vincent College seeks to help students from lower household incomes (HHI) with the cost of going to college by helping to cover essential course related costs. The college can provide financial support for the following:

  • Discounted bus pass
  • Refund ferry tickets
  • Lunch card
  • Subject related resources
  • Travel cost to work placement
  • Exam fees (where applicable)

If you are 16–18 years old and under Local Authority Care/Care Leaver, or living independently, or receive Disabled Support Allowance/PIP and Employment Support Allowance/Universal Credit, you may be eligible to a higher level bursary. Please note the cost of the bus pass and the daily use of the lunch card will be deducted every term.

You can complete the application form from the link provided and send it to the email below with the relevant evidence attached. Evidence of all income will be required at the time of application, please note we are unable to process your application without the evidence. We encourage you to complete and return your applications as soon as possible to enable funding to be allocated before the start of the academic year. Please allow up to 10 working days from submitting your application form and the supporting evidence.

You will need to re-apply for this bursary, with new evidence, each academic year.

For students who are under 20 years old; you can apply for ‘Care to Learn’ funding for your childcare needs. Visit https://www.gov.uk/care-to-learn/applying-for-care-to-learn to find out more.

HOW TO APPLY

Read the application form for details of eligibility, you must have an annual household income of less that £30,000.

You can complete the application form from the link provided and send it to the email below with the relevant evidence attached. Evidence of all income will be required at the time of application, please note we are unable to process your application without the evidence. We encourage you to complete and return your applications as soon as possible to enable funding to be allocated before the start of the academic year. Follow the ‘3 easy steps’ below and please allow up to 10 working days from submitting your application form and the supporting evidence.

THE 3 EASY STEPS

  1. Complete your part for the application form.
  2. Then forward the partial completed application to the Nursery OR Childcare provider to complete their details, bank information and signature, then they return it back to you.
  3. Then attach your household income evidence, along with your child’s birth certificate or child benefit letter and return it direct to the email below.
