MUSIC PERFORMANCE BTEC

Course Description:

Do you have a passion for music? Do you want to study music at level 3, but you didn’t get the grades needed? Don’t worry, St Vincent College music department can help you progress to the next stage, with our dedicated level 2 music programme. 

You will be part of a thriving music department which offers student’s performance opportunities at major festivals, local venues and alongside professional promoters. 

The qualification focuses on introducing key areas such as music performance, composition, recording, the music industry and organising a music product.

MUSIC PERFORMANCE BTEC

LEVEL 3

Course Description:

Do you have a passion for performing, composing and developing musical ideas? Do you wish to create a career based on your creative skills and passion for music?

This course is designed for those who have a desire to become professional musicians. We link up with local and national promoters to run a course which has the same expectations as industry professionals. The key aim of our music programme is to develop you as a performer and offer you as many real world music opportunities as possible.

Our students take pride in performing at professional music festivals, recording studios and radio stations. They have gained value added results in the top 10% of the UK.

We also have great ties with University programs and as part of your course we will look in depth at your next steps as a musician. Visits to University open days and performances. Guest speakers and workshops from current University students and facilitators.

MUSIC TECHNOLOGY BTEC

LEVEL 3

Course Description:

Do you have a passion for music production, mixing and the recording industry? Would you like to work and learn in a multipurpose recording studio and technology suite? Are you a musician looking to develop the necessary skills to produce your own music? Are you an avid listener of a wide range of musical genres? Would you like a career in the music industry? If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, a course in Music Technology would be the perfect choice to compliment your studies.

MUSIC PROGRAMME (INTENSIVE)

LEVEL 3

Course Description:

A combination course or performance and production, with additional units focused on student’s career pathway choices.

Pathways can include:
• Performance
• Composition
• Studio recording
• Event management
• Formal graded examinations
