Safeguarding and Duty to Prevent
ST VINCENT COLLEGE IS FULLY COMMITTED TO PROMOTING, MAINTAINING, AND SUPPORTING STUDENT, STAFF, AND VISITOR SAFETY AND WELFARE.
In order to effectively do this, we pride ourselves on having robust and tested policies and procedures to ensure that any safeguarding issues are dealt with promptly, sensitively, and in line with national and regional guidelines.
Our safeguarding processes apply to all staff, governors, volunteers, visitors, and agencies working in the college and enact relevant legislation and statutory guidance on Keeping Children Safe in Education.
In addition, the college actively promotes its legal duty under the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act to ‘have due regard, in the exercise of its functions, to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism under the Duty to Prevent agenda.
