OUR RESOURCES

Our resources include books, journals (magazines) and DVDs. We provide access to a number of online information resources which can be accessed from our Learning Centre VLE page. Infotrac provides access to full text articles from the national newspapers, plus a database of over 3,000 journals with many full text articles.

Issues Online is a collection of materials on contemporary social, political and cultural issues. There are also links to several individual online journals. Additionally we have a collection of ebooks, which provide a full text search facility to identify any which contain information on your chosen topic. All our online sources are available to use from home if you have Internet access.

STUDY ZONES

The Learning Centre provides several areas for study, with over 80 computers, including laptops, for you to use for research, or to produce work documents.

A Silent Zone, equipped with computers and study tables, is also available when you wish to study without distraction. The upper floor provides a large group, or individual study area, where you can share ideas about your work, or use a laptop, or just study by yourself. The college Careers Centre is on the first floor of the Learning Centre with professional advisors on hand to help with career, or university.

COLLEGE WIRELESS NETWORK

Our wireless network is available in the Learning Centres, and in various spots around campus. This means you can bring your own laptop, netbook, smartphone or iPad to use in college. Please use headphones or ensure that all sounds are turned off.
