ELITE FOOTBALL ACADEMY PROGRAMME BTEC

LEVEL 3 AND 2

Course Description:

This programme, in conjunction with Gosport Borough Football Club (GBFC), is designed for Footballers who are looking to progress as a player into a Pro/Semi-Pro club, a Scholarship in the USA, or onto a university degree course in the UK. The whole programme is between two and three years long and combines lessons with training and fixtures so that the course that you are studying will be a part of your development as a player. 

Together, we aim to help players achieve the highest standard of football possible. Possible exit routes from the St Vincent and GBFC Elite Football Academy are; into professional and semiprofessional Football Clubs though our links within the game, onto a US Scholarship where you can play and learn at one of the universities or onto a degree course at a UK university to study any sport-related degree. 

Football: GBFC will deliver over 12 hours of first class football training as part of the Elite Football Academy Programme. You will compete in fixtures, which provides a high-quality experience for 16-19 year olds on the pitch. 

Education: You will complete a sport qualification. You will be enrolled on a sport qualification relevant to your exam results. (Please refer to Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 sport course description sheets for more information).

SPORT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA

Course Description:

This is equivalent to three A Levels. It is a two-year, full-time course that is ideal for those that want to go into the sports industry or study a sports degree at university. 

As part of the course you will also take Community Sports Leaders, with the option of progressing to Higher Sports Leaders in year 2.

UNIFORMED PROTECTIVE SERVICES (TEAMWORK AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE COMMUNITY) BTEC

LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE

Course Description:

The Level 2 Uniformed Protective Services course provides the ideal stepping stone into a wide range of exciting careers in the uniformed services, including the Army and police force. You will benefit from the expertise of teachers who also have backgrounds in the armed forces and other public services.

UNIFORMED PROTECTIVE SERVICES BTEC

LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA

Course Description:

The uniformed protective services sector is diverse and encompasses uniformed public services such as the police service, the fire and rescue service, the armed services and the prison service. These public services are organised and financed by the government to benefit society. There is a wide range of occupations for entry across the uniformed protective services, including roles in the police service and the armed services. This qualification focuses on, but is not limited to, the uniformed protective services such as the police service, fire and rescue service, armed services and prison service.
