ST VINCENT COLLEGE IS PROUD TO SERVE ITS COMMUNITY AND OFFER A WIDE RANGE OF VOCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY LEARNING COURSES AIMED AT ADULTS LIVING IN GOSPORT AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.

Adult learners are welcomed into full-time, day, evening and online classes by students and tutors alike.

Whether you would like to get back into education, retrain in a new vocation, improve your job prospects, or to simply try something new, we have a qualified and experienced team, who will support you to achieve your educational goals and aspirations.

Courses begin and run throughout the year, so it’s never too late to start your next chapter with us.

All vocational and community learning courses are now located in the north-side of our campus within the Adult Community College building overlooking Portsmouth Harbour.

We offer a variety of low cost community courses that are heavily subsidised to ensure they remain accessible for everyone. Funding is available to eligible students studying online or vocational qualifications. Full funding can be able available to students who are on a low wage or in receipt of means-tested benefit. Did you know that St Vincent College and Richard Taunton College (The Lighthouse Learning Trust) can fully fund and upskill any adult aged 19 and over, who are yet to achieve a full level 3 qualification or higher? What’s more, from April 2022, if your annual income is under £18,525 you can also access these qualifications completely free of charge.

We have knowledgeable, industry- competent staff on hand to upskill our adult community, enhance your career prospects and provide business support to increase sustainability by developing skilled workforces.

RETRAINING AND UPSKILLING (ACCREDITED)

Some of our qualifications offer classes, depending on the qualification and level undertaken. Learners will be interviewed prior to enrolment to ensure they are in the correct job role/have the appropriate work placement and/or that they have the appropriate experience.
