INFORMATION FOR PARENTS/CARERS

PARENTS’ BRIEFING AND PROGRESSION EVENING, 18 MARCH 2025, 6PM

Full attendance to lessons is absolutely key to achieving well this summer, enabling students to progress onto the next level of course in September, to a new subject or onto an apprenticeship, job or university.

Nicola Kingsley, Vice Principal of St Vincent Sixth Form College, invites you to attend a briefing with advice on how best to support your young person to realise their full potential and move towards the career of their dreams.

We will have 20 mins of information and practical advice on how to support students to successfully prepare for exams, to revise, and to complete assignments. A couple of students who resat their GCSEs last year and are now enjoying their Level 3 courses with great careers planned, will also speak to you about what they found worked to help them achieve high grades.

There will then be opportunity to review the courses your young person could move onto next year, or if they are already in their second year, our careers team can show some of the inspiring next steps options. Also available to ask any specific questions you may have will be our expert teams in SEND, A-Level exam prep, English & Maths, exam stress busting, and careers.

We look forward to seeing you. To book your place, please email info@stvincent.ac.uk with your name(s) and the name of your young person.

Please note this event is not for those with a young person studying in the School of Personalised Learning.
