An ideal course for students who enjoy learning in a visual and creative way where you will develop graphic design techniques and processes.
Practical lessons and gallery visits encourage experimentation with sketchbooks used to record ideas
and other artists’ work.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above, ideally including grade 4 in a creative subject. A suitable portfolio of artwork may be accepted as an alternative.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
Use of digital techniques to create a graphic design portfolio. Digital sketchbooks will be used to record ideas and artist research.
A combination of practical and digital workshops, artist analysis and theory based creative learning.
PROGRESSION ROUTES:
Progress into further study or employment in graphics illustration, web design, animation, advertising and marketing.
