This is the first year of a two-year study programme which encompasses two examined units on the fundamentals of IT and global information.
Further transferable skills include communication, problem solving, time management, research and analytical skills.
This qualification focuses on the requirements that will enable you to progress onto the second year of the course and eventually on to university
or into employment.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above, including English and Maths.
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
The course is made up of five units, with fundamentals of IT and global information in the first year and cyber security, product development and systems analysis and design in the second. Combine with Level 3 Esports (double), business, graphics or law or go into employment within IT support, business, web design, product design and development.
PROGRESSION ROUTES:
A high percentage of our students progress on to university to study or gain employment within the computer industry.
