In addition to our higher-level academic programmes, St Vincent College is also one of the south’s leading providers of post-16 education for students who require specialised curriculum and support due to a range of special educational needs and disabilities. All students are offered meaningful and purposeful work experience throughout their educational journey.

Preparation for Learning
The School of Personalised Learning provides over 200 students with access to a range of specialised and bespoke courses; from Entry Level 1 to 3. Based in the heart of our main campus each of the courses available are specifically tailored to the individual learning and support needs of our students who are taught in highly supported learning environments with state-of-the-art resources and facilities.
In addition to our individualised curriculum offer, the College is able to provide medical assistance, support and care with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities. We work very closely with local schools and local authorities to ensure the learning and support needs of each student are appropriately met and can provide a range of services to support transition to our learning environment. Supporting Progression into Employment
Supporting our students in to sustainable employment and progression opportunities is at the forefront of our Futures programme. This is an introduction to work programme tailored to support students progress in to work. This includes Support Internships for students aged 19 plus who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The Futures programme prepares learners for supported internships/employment and features four key theme:

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
Our discrete SEMH provision provides specialist support for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Our philosophy of inclusion aims to support students to ensure their journey through our College is as smooth, enjoyable and anxiety free as possible. We deliver a holistic approach and bespoke timetable to each pupil supporting both their academic and emotional needs. The provision also provides students with a holistic, nurturing, learning environment along with bespoke timetables, all of which help ensure students are better equipped to manage their own emotions and behaviours whilst also making academic progress.
Stepping Stones is offered on a termly basis, our aim is that within this period of time, students are able to develop their confidence enough to begin transitioning back into an alternative provision within the SPL.
